Description
A reduction linocut of low-flying mallard ducks against late afternoon sunlit water.
A reduction linocut print is formed by printing separate layers of different colours that are cut and printed from the same lino block, the amount of lino remaining reducing at each printing pass until at the end there is often very little left as the final colour(s) are printed.
This is one of a small edition of 16 prints, each of which is printed by hand, the small variations occurring between them making each print truly original.
This work is printed on Zerkall Handmade Printing paper with a smooth finish using lightfast Caligo Safe Wash relief printing inks, mounted in a neutral colour mat and wrapped in cellophane to keep it clean.
The printed area is 39.9 x 15 cm (w x h) and the outer mount mat dimensions are 53 x 28.4cm (w x h).
Below the print area is the print number, the title and my signature. The print is mounted in a neutral colour mount mat and then wrapped in cellophane to keep it clean.
The mounted artwork will be packaged into a rigid card envelope with plenty of card support for protection.
