A reduction linocut of a sunflower as it turns to follow the sun throughout the day.
A reduction linocut print is formed by printing separate layers of different colours that are cut and printed from the same lino block, the amount of lino remaining reducing at each printing pass until at the end there is often very little left as the final colour(s) are printed.
This is one of a small edition of 14 prints, each of which is printed by hand, the small variations occurring between them making each print truly original. The inking for these prints is particularly variable, specifically in the background and the sunflower centres and so the prints are very individual. If you wish to select a particular print from the edition please click here to view the set and availability, note the print number (eg 2-14, 6-14) and advise you want that particular print in the instructions area on the order page.
